What would it look like to completely obey God? No reservations, no waiting, no trying to figure out the logic behind what He might be asking. To just go and do and risk at the drop of a hat when he says so.
After reading the God Moment, I believe the authors are two people who do just that. The book chronicles some of the most trying times of their lives, while also recording some of the big ways God showed up.
I appreciated how real and exposed the writing was. They didn’t try to sugar coat their trials. Even though they were people of faith, they made mistakes and had to deal with the consequences. But the beautiful thing is that God finds a way to make it all fit together in His plan.
Aside from the actual content, I found how the book was written to be very interesting as well. Bette and Wayne co-wrote the book, trading off chapters and sometimes even paragraphs. I thought it would be difficult to read but it actually added to the books readability. The reader was able to get a feel for both sides of the story and made me think about co-writing a book with my future wife one day!
Overall, this is a gem from two faith-filled people and I am very happy I had the chance to read it.
