The Time Keeper Quotes

I finally got my hands on Mitch Albom’s book The Time Keeper. He is a fantastic storyteller and this book is no exception. I wrote a short review of it here. If you find a copy at your local library I recommend picking it up for a light afternoon read (because you will read through this one pretty fast).

To give you a feel for his writing and this book I’ve listed ten of my favorite quotes below.

He was doing what a man does when left with nothing. He was telling himself his own life story. (page 70)

It is never too late or too soon. It is when it is supposed to be. (79)

Sometimes, when you are not getting the love you want, giving makes you think you will. (112)

A man who can take anything will find most things unsatisfying. (122)

He wondered how it was fair that your dying should depend so much on when you were born (125)

A heart weighs more when it splits in two (144)

When hope is gone, time is punishment. (160)

When we are most alone is when we embrace another’s loneliness. (188)

Time is not something you give back. The very next moment may be an answer to your prayer. (195)

There is a reason God limits our days.
Why?
To make each one precious. (206)

Question: Are you a fan of Mitch Albom? And if you have read this book, what did you think about it?

  1. Love these quotes, this one especially “It is never too late or too soon. It is when it is supposed to be.” Speaks volumes.

I haven’t read any of his books but after reading this, I may need to check this one out.

    Thank you!
